The Thunderstorm Story

The Thunderstorm Story

The wind is blowing and billows of clouds are rushing to cover the big blue sky. Soon dark looking clouds came to join all the rest of the clouds.

Boom boom...the clouds bump into each other, sparking big excitement as lightning lit the sky.

The big trees beneath the sky are all claping their hands. Their branches swaying to and fro...for who can create all the excitement above the big sky in just a matter of minutes?

Drip...then another drip drop. Incredible ripples apear in the surface of the lake. Starting with a tiny ripple...it spread and quickly made itself into even bigger ripples.

Drop DROP...more drops, more ripples. The very parched and cracked dry land surrounding the lake starts rejoicing too. Yes, they waited for this patiently. They were very thirsty for the past days, weeks and months....but the Almighty one didn't forget their needs.

Boom boom. More lightning and thunder. Then, the sky opened up and poured down the great blessings that the clouds were holding on. Every cracked soil received the much needed water...slowly the land healed and creatures appeared to rejoice with them. The lake enlarged to receive all the blessings.

The wind blew some more and the clouds give way to a big blue sky once more. In the distance, the sun appeared - only to set down for the day...colouring the expanse of the sky to brilliant red. We know tomorrow will be another beautiful day.

The Almighty One has done it again....His great Design never fails to bring us awe. Yes, what an Awesome God we have.

The little Girl Who Doesn't Like To Work Story

The Little Girl Who Doesn't Like To Work Story

There was once a little girl who wants to play all day long in fields with the bees and flowers.

Her mother thought that she would grow to be an idle little girl if she played too much. ' You are old enough to do some work, my little daughter', said her mother. ' even when you are still young and little, you can learn to be busy.'

But the little girl said: 'Oh, mother, I do not like to work. Please just let me go to the fields and play just a little bit more before I do my tasks.'

So her mother allowed her to go once again, but only for a little while.

The little girl ran out to the fields as fast as she could. As she hurried on, she met a little bee and the little girl said: 'Bee, do you have any work to do?' 'Work?!' buzzed the little Bee. ' I always work gathering nectar from flower to flower to make some honey for you and my family. I have not time to play.'

The little girl walked along very slowly for she was thinking. and she saw an ant along the pathway carrying a big bread crumbs on her back. 'That bread crumb is too heavy for you little ant. Drop it and come play with me instead'

'I don't care how heavy it is' said the ant. 'I've found this good food and I'm taking it home to store in our food larder so my big family would have food on rainy days to eat. I have no time to play.' and the ant went on his way with his big load.

So the little girl sad down on a stone so she could think better. She said to herself ' the creatures all have task to do...but I suppose flowers don't do work' 'Do you work little pansie?' she asked the little plant growing just by her feet

'Oh yes, I am very busy!' said the little pansie.'I gather all the sunlight every morning and keep them shut in my petals carefully all day long. I drink up all the moisture I can find with my roots, and I grow and grow to get ready for seed time. We flowers must all work.' said the little pansie.

Then, the little girl decided to go home to her mother, and she said: 'Mother, the bees, and the ants and the flowers all work. I am the only idle one. I want some work to do.'

So her mother brought out a little apron which the child had sew long ago that she forgot about it; and the little girl worked so faithfully, cooking and baking, that she was not idle any more and went on to become a very industrious fashion design entrepreneur.

The Dandelion Story

The Dandelion Story

One day a little girl wandered here and there, in fields and forest, in gardens to find the flower she would love the most.

As she hurried to her search, she stumbled upon a field of fuzzy balls on hollow green stems.

There were hundreds and hundreds of them. So, she asked them a question: 'Where would you like to live the most?'

'Oh', cried the Dandelions...'I want to live wherever the children will find me as they walk and romp and play in the field.'

'I want to live by the road side, in the meadows, push up in between pavements and stones, to make everyone happy with my bright beautiful colours and to give early salad greens for food to people'

'You are the flower that I like', said the little girl. She bend down to pick the puffy head on the green stem and blew a kiss on this sweet humble bloom.

With that, she said: 'You shall bloom everywhere from spring till autumn and be the children's favourite flower.'

Thus the Dandelion comes very early every year to push her head up in fields, hedges, crevices and had such a sweet long life.
